About The Lagos Leadership Summit (LLS)

The Lagos Leadership Summit (LLS), launched in 2024, is one of the flagship events of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA). It serves as a transformative platform that brings together young visionary leaders, innovators, and change makers to drive Nigeria's rebirth through adaptive, responsive, and transformational leadership. It empowers these young leaders by equipping them with essential skills and insights needed to leadership roles.

This year’s summit, themed “Transformative Leadership: Developing Responsive, Adaptive and Inclusive Models,” is scheduled for April 16th & 17th 2025, and will convene policymakers, thought leaders, industry pioneers, and over 5,000 attendees from within and outside Nigeria. The event will highlight critical discussions around adaptive, responsive, and transformative leadership in Nigeria and Africa.

Our Impact Story From LLS 2024

To give back to the community, the Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) utilised this funding to organise the 2024 National Head Girl Conference under the theme, “Girls’ Vision for the Future – Young Voices, Big Impact”. This year’s conference, expanded through this support, welcomed head boys as allies to foster a collaborative spirit in leadership and featured a social innovation competition. The top five finalists showcased impactful solutions to societal issues, with the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) honoured to serve as a judge during the final stage.

Mr Tunde Onakoya, Founder of Chess in Slums Africa, was also celebrated for his work in using chess as a tool for social change, empowering underprivileged children with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. At LLS 2024, Mrs Abosede Alimi George-Ogan, Founder of the Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), was honoured for her work in promoting women’s leadership and creating platforms for women to engage. WILAN was recognised with the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Leadership.
