The Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy(LJLA) commenced their international policy trip in India by visiting some of the country’s culturally significant landmarks. 
 
 The Fellows began their tour with a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The Mausoleum’s white marble finish and intricate craftsmanship exemplify architectural and infrastructural brilliance. 
 
 Additionally, the Fellows explored the city’s famous in-lay marble designing place, renowned for creating the marble designs at the Taj Mahal. 
 
They gained In-depth knowledge of the local economy and craftsmanship, understanding its contribution to India’s economic landscape. 
 
 In order to gain a deeper understanding of India’s diverse religious traditions and historical contexts, they visited Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, the Hindu god of compassion, protection, and love. 
 
 The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, who was part of the Delegation, underscored the significance of India as the destination for this transformative experience. 
 

 “This is an opportunity for the Fellows to witness firsthand the complexities and successes of India’s governance, culture, and economic systems, thereby providing them with unique insights and perspectives that are essential for their development as future leaders,” he noted. 
 
 Agoro highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage, strong democratic institutions, and vibrant economic environment as key factors that makes it an ideal location for the Fellows’ international policy trip. 
 
 As the Fellows continue their exploration of India, they are set to gain invaluable experiences and knowledge that will shape their perspectives and contribute to their roles as emerging leaders in Nigeria.
