The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) recently hosted Mrs. Adetanwa Ashiru, CEO and Founder of Bulwark Intelligence, where she emphasised the importance of breaking gender stereotypes and overcoming social and institutional barriers for achieving career success. 

 

 Ashiru who is an award-winning Enterprise Security Risk Management Consultant and a former United States Air Force officer with over 14 years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, addressed the Fellows in the Academy’s Conference Room, highlighting her leadership strategies and insights. 

 

 She recounted her journey from her early years in Lagos to her distinguished service in the US military, illustrating how these experiences forged her resilience and determination. 

 

 “Transitioning from the military to entrepreneurship taught me invaluable lessons about leadership and adaptability. I faced numerous challenges, but each one made me stronger and more determined to succeed” she shared.

 “LJLA is doing an incredible job in fostering the next generation of leaders. The passion and commitment I see here gives me hope for the future of Nigeria” Ashiru remarked. 

 

 The Executive Secretary of LJLA, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, who was represented by Mr. James Oduyebo, Director of the Admin and Human Resources department, reaffirmed the Academy’s dedication to exposing Fellows to industry experts like Ashiru. 

 

 “Industry experts such as Adetanwa Ashiru engaging with our Fellows, bridges the gap between theory and practice, preparing them to tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions” she stated.
